W4V/AB-042 - Summit 2650

On Saturday, March 25, 2017. Larry (KD4FTN), Bob (KM4VMZ), & I successfully activated the summit on a nice day. What a beautiful view from this summit !

THIS SUMMIT IS ON PRIVATE LAND !!!!

Directions from the Bristol, VA / I-81 Exit 5. Take a left onto Island Rd. Turn right on Benhams Rd. Turn right on Reedy Creek Rd. Turn left on Buffalo Pond Rd. Turn left on Justice Dr.  Turn left on Temple Ln. First gravel to the left is the driveway up to the summit.

Summit:  Summit 2650 (W4V/AB-042); Elevation:  2,650 ft; 6 points    
Weather:  Mostly Sunny / temps in the 70’s.    
Difficulty:  Easy  (Drive Up)     
Equipment: Yaesu FT-817, LDG Z817 ATU, & 40 meter homebrew dipole
