W4T/RV-045 - Crockett Ridge

On Saturday, December 3, 2016. I successfully activated the summit on a nice day and a break from SKYWARN Recognition Day at the NWS Morristown, TN.

Directions from the NWS Morristown, TN. Take a right onto 11E / Andrew Johnson Highway. Turn left on W. Economy Rd. Turn right on N. Economy Rd. Turn left on Doughetry Rd. Turn right on Prater Dr, which turns into Christmas Dr and then turns into Ridgemont Dr. Go to the top and turn into gravel drive to where it dead ends and walk about halfway and thats where I set up at.

Summit:  Crockett Ridge (W4T/RV-045); Elevation:  1,952 ft; 4 points    
Weather:  Mostly Sunny / temps in the 50’s.    
Difficulty:  Easy  (Drive Up)     
Equipment: Yaesu FT-817, LDG Z817 ATU, & 40 meter homebrew dipole
